This software is used as support for practical sessions. The purpose is to help learners understand and master economical driving techniques, which can save between 1 to 2 liters of fuel at 100 km, without reducing average speed and optimizing safety.
The simulator as well as comparisons made between standard driving and environmentally friendly driving should help learners clearly understand the realness and potential interest of economical driving, and encourage them to into practice what they learned during the training course.
The training program (detailed below) consists in 6 independent yet complementary modules that can be adapted to the length of the training session.
- Module 1: Introduction to the simulator and initial reference path
- Module 2: Anticipation and speed
- Module 3: Gears and turning off the vehicle
- Module 4: Tyre pressure
- Module 5: Additional economical and environmentally friendly driving techniques
- Module 6: Putting economical and environmentally friendly driving techniques into practice
